Huawei Band 4 – Price

Huawei Band 4 is one of the most affordable fitness band. Band 4 costs 35-40$; we have mentioned a link below of the best Huawei Band 4 offer.

Considering the features and specification of the tracker, the 40$ price tag of Band 4 is excellent.

First Impression

The unboxing experience is a fitness tracker like but it’s better than Mi Band 4. In the box, we get Huawei Band 4, silicon strap and user manual. Yes, it’s right; there is no charging cable or dock in the box.

Huawei Band 4 – Unboxed

Huawei has reengineered a rare charging system about which you will learn in the battery section.

The lightweight Huawei Band 4 is made from durable plastic. It has a small glass-covered screen and a capacitive navigation button in the center. Band 4 has a different boxy design which will definitely attract many Mi Band 4 design haters.

Appearance

Huawei Band 4 – Appearance

Huawei Band 4 has a small 0.96-inch touchscreen. The screen is vibrant and bright in daylight; the visibility also depends on the watchface because light colour watchfaces are more visible.

The lightweight plastic body appears to be durable. The top side is covered with glass to protect the screen.

Navigation is pretty easy; the capacitive button is your home button. Swipe up and down for the menu and right for notifications.

Technical Specs

Band 4 is a powerful and functional fitness tracker. It has a strong, comfortable and lightweight body with a beautiful OLED screen. The battery performance is satisfactory.

  • Sensors: Optical Heart Rate      Sensor, 3-axis acceleration sensor and Infrared wear sensor.

  • Waterproof: 50ATM or 50      meters.

Features

Band 4 is a surprising fitness tracker its features are remarkable but it also lacks some features like the watch is 5ATM waterproof, but it doesn’t have swimming mode. Well, let’s get to know more about the features of Huawei Band 4

Its tracking is one of the best in its class. The watch tracks a lot of sleep, distance, heart rate data and gives a detailed chart. The Band is missing GPS, but its distance and steps tracking are still pretty good and accurate. Heart rate tracking is superb it’s even better than the Mi Band 4. Huawei has used advance algorithms to optimize HR tracking.

Huawei Band 4 – Notifications

It has one of the best notification integrations—the band groups up to 10 messages of the same person which you can read one by one. The Band’s other features include a timer, stopwatch, screen adjustment, and on display for 5 minutes.

The main missing features are GPS and swim tracking.

Fitness Tracking

Fitness tracking of Huawei Band 4 is both great and satisfactory.

Huawei Band 4 – Steps Tracking

Steps Tracking: Steps tracking is satisfactory. Band 4 does not have GPS, but still, its distance measuring is pretty good.

Huawei Band 4 – Heart Rate Tracking

Heart Rate Tracking: HR tracking is excellent. Mi bands are known for their best HR tracking, but Huawei Band 4 almost equal the results.

Huawei Band 4 – Sleep Tracking

Sleep Tracking: In sleep tracking, Band 4 very easily beats the Mi band 4. It has the most precise and detailed sleep tracking. The Huawei Band 4 even track short naps, which is not possible in Mi bands.

Sports Tracking: Sports tracking is one of its weakness. Band 4 does not have good sports tracking.

Battery

Band 4 has a 91mAh battery; the battery life is 7 days with Constant HR and sleep tracking. The battery can be extended for up to 14 days with no HR and sleep tracking.

Huawei Band 4 – Charging System

In Band 4, Huawei has reengineered the charging system. Now we don’t need any dock or wire to charge it. Just remove the Band and charge. They called it a USB plug and charge design; it let you charge the Band directly from a USB type-A port.

This charging method is convenient as you don’t have to carry extra cable and charging dock.

Huawei Health App

Huawei Health is a basic and functional app. Synchronization is quick, and then everything happens automatically; the interface is straightforward with no colourful badges and achievements. All the charts like HR, steps, sleep, sports etc are exact and detailed.

The app shows that Band 4 tracks a lot of data like it even track short naps.

Drawbacks

Huawei Band 4 is an exceptional fitness tracker; it has very detailed tracking and well-integrated notifications. But there are things that Huawei need to improve in this fitness tracker.

  • They have to work on battery      life; it is less than a regular fitness tracker. Huawei can add 2-3      millimetres to increase the battery size.

  • GPS is not there. Almost all      the fitness tracker in this class has GPS, Huawei should embed GPS to      enhance distance and sports tracking.

  • Swim tracking is missing. The      Band is waterproof up to 50ATM, but it doesn’t have a swim mode.

  • Huawei should add some other      sensors like Ambient light sensor, gyroscope etc.

Conclusion

Huawei Band 4 is a pretty solid fitness tracker. Band 4 is one of the cheapest fitness trackers; it can accurately track steps, HR, sleep, but there is no GPS.

Band 4 can compete with Mi Band 4 as it is ahead of Xiaomi in sleep tracking, heart rate tracking and sport mode.
